Patient Rights Statement

Dr. Husain AlQattan is committed to upholding and protecting the rights of all patients in accordance with Kuwait Law No. 70 of 2020 and applicable Ministry of Health regulations.

Every patient is entitled to the following rights:

1. Informed Consent

To receive clear, accurate, and understandable information regarding:

• Diagnosis
• Treatment options
• Expected outcomes
• Potential risks and complications
• Available alternatives

This information must be provided prior to undergoing any medical or surgical procedure, allowing the patient to make an informed decision.

2. Voluntary Decision-Making

To make independent and voluntary decisions regarding medical care without coercion, undue influence, or pressure, within the framework of applicable legal requirements.

3. Age & Legal Consent Protections

In accordance with Kuwaiti law:

• Individuals must have completed twenty-one (21) years of age to independently consent to aesthetic plastic surgical procedures.
• Individuals under twenty-one (21) require joint parental or legally authorized guardian consent as stipulated by law.

All consent processes are conducted in strict compliance with legal standards.

4. Confidentiality & Privacy

To have all personal and medical information treated with strict confidentiality.

Patient information shall only be disclosed:

• With written patient consent
• When required by law
• In accordance with applicable healthcare regulations

5. Access to Medical Information

To have a personal medical record maintained within the licensed healthcare facility and to request access to such records in accordance with applicable regulations.

6. Safe & Licensed Care

To receive medical care exclusively within licensed healthcare facilities operating under the oversight of the Ministry of Health.

All procedures are performed in accordance with professional medical standards and regulatory requirements.

To be treated at all times with respect, professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
