Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)
A natural, lifted shape created from your own fat, with safety at the centre.
Shape and balance, not just volume
A Brazilian Butt Lift uses your own fat to create a rounder, lifted, more balanced shape, and it works in two directions at once. Fat is removed from areas where it is unwanted, such as the waist, flanks, and lower back, and placed where it adds shape, so the whole silhouette is refined. Dr. Husain's aim is always a natural result. The goal is a shape that looks lifted, rounded, and in proportion with your body, never large or obviously done. For many patients, the slimmer waist that comes with it matters as much as the lift itself.
How Dr. Husain keeps this procedure safe
Above the muscle only. Fat is placed only in the subcutaneous layer, just beneath the skin, where it naturally lives, never into or below the muscle. This is the single most important factor in performing the procedure safely.
This is neither optional nor an extra. It is how a modern Brazilian Butt Lift should be performed, and it is standard in every case.
The procedure has three parts. Liposuction first removes fat from where it is unwanted, using power-assisted (PAL) and ultrasound-assisted (VASER) techniques for a precise, even harvest. That fat is purified and transferred to shape the buttocks and to fill any depressions, so the contour is smooth and rounded. Where the skin needs it, tightening is added to refine the result.
This is why Dr. Husain thinks of it as reshaping the whole torso rather than simply enlarging one area. Every plan is custom made to your anatomy and the shape you are hoping for, and discussed in full at your consultation.
Reduction, redistribution, and refinement
Is a Brazilian Butt Lift right for you?
You may be a good candidate if you have:
• Enough fat elsewhere on the body to harvest and transfer
• A wish for a fuller, rounder, more lifted shape that still looks natural
• Areas such as the waist or hip dips you would like refined at the same time
• A stable weight, good general health, and realistic expectations
Because the procedure uses your own fat, you need a reasonable amount to harvest, so very slim patients may have less to work with. A stable weight matters both before and after, since the transferred fat behaves like the rest of your body's fat.
Performed personally, with safety first
A Brazilian Butt Lift is performed under anaesthesia and usually takes a few hours, depending on the number of areas treated. Dr. Husain performs every procedure personally and in its entirety, with the subcutaneous technique described above used in every case. Most patients return home the same day or after a short stay, and Dr. Husain sees you personally and remains reachable at all times.
A structured recovery, closely supported
The early recovery has one feature unique to this procedure: protecting the newly transferred fat while it establishes its blood supply. For the first few weeks you will avoid sitting directly on the buttocks, using a cushion under the thighs when you do need to sit, and you will sleep on your side or front. Dr. Husain will guide you through this process.
Beyond this, recovery follows the pattern of liposuction. A compression garment supports the donor areas, guided lymphatic massage begins early to settle swelling, and most patients return to desk work within one to two weeks and to full activity over the following weeks. Dr. Husain follows an accelerated recovery programme, sees you at every follow up himself, and is always reachable.
A natural result that settles and lasts
Not all of the transferred fat stays. Some is naturally reabsorbed in the weeks after surgery, and as a general guide around half remains settled and permanent, which for many patients is exactly the natural, proportionate result they wanted. Others prefer a fuller shape and choose a second session once healing is complete. Dr. Husain will discuss what your anatomy can achieve in one session and whether a second is worthwhile.
The fat that settles becomes a living part of you, with its own blood supply, and is long lasting. A stable weight is what protects it, since it gains and loses like the rest of your body's fat. Once healed, regular exercise, especially gluteal and lower-body training, builds the muscle beneath and enhances the shape further over the long term.

Performed correctly, yes. The risk that gave the procedure its reputation comes from fat being placed into or below the muscle. Dr. Husain places fat only in the layer just beneath the skin, never into the muscle, and is able to use ultrasound to confirm the position throughout. These two measures are the heart of a safe Brazilian Butt Lift
-
Natural is the whole point. Dr. Husain shapes for a lifted, rounded, proportionate result that suits your body, not an exaggerated one. Because the procedure also slims the waist and refines the surrounding areas, the effect comes as much from balance and proportion as from added volume
-
Some is naturally reabsorbed in the first weeks, and as a general guide around half remains settled and permanent, which is enough for many patients. If you are hoping for a fuller result, a second session after healing can build on the first. The fat that stays is long lasting, protected by a stable weight.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes. Because the procedure uses your own fat, you need a reasonable amount to harvest from areas such as the abdomen, flanks, and back. Very slim patients may have less to work with, which Dr. Husain will assess and discuss with you at your consultation.
-
In the first weeks, the transferred fat is establishing its blood supply, and direct pressure can affect how much survives. Avoiding sitting directly on the buttocks, and using a cushion under the thighs when you do sit, protects your result.
-
A fat transfer adds shape, but it cannot lift skin that has lost its tone. If there is significant skin laxity or sagging of the buttocks, fat transfer alone may not give the result you want. In that case Dr. Husain may recommend combining it with a buttock lift, which removes the loose skin and uses your own tissue and fat grafting to rebuild a lifted, natural shape. Whether this applies to you is something he will assess at your consultation
