Breast Lift (Mastopexy)

Lifted, restored, and naturally youthful, using your own breast tissue.

When your breasts no longer sit the way they used to

Changes in breast shape and position are completely natural. Pregnancy and breastfeeding, weight loss, and time itself gradually stretch the skin and the ligaments that support the breast, allowing it to sit lower than it once did. The breast may feel emptier at the top, the nipple may point downward, and bras may no longer fit the way they used to.

A breast lift restores the breast to a higher, fuller, more youthful position, reshaping it with your own tissue. Dr. Husain’s goal is always a lifted, natural result that looks and feels like your own.

A breast lift, or mastopexy, raises and reshapes the breast without necessarily changing its size. Excess, stretched skin is removed, the breast tissue is reshaped and supported, and the nipple and areola are lifted to a more youthful position. Where the areola has stretched, its size is refined at the same time.

No two lifts are the same. Dr. Husain always uses the most limited incision your degree of lift allows:

  • A donut lift, for mild cases, with the scar around the areola only.

  • A vertical (lollipop) lift, for moderate cases, adding a short scar below the areola.

  • An anchor lift, for more significant cases, adding a scar hidden in the breast fold.

The right approach depends mainly on the degree of lift needed, and is decided together at your consultation.

Restoring shape and position, using your own tissue

A lasting lift, designed to hold its shape

Dr. Husain’s approach to the breast lift is built around a natural, lasting result that uses your own tissue to restore shape and position.

Beyond lifting the breast, he focuses on helping the result last. Where appropriate, he uses advanced techniques to support the lifted tissue from within, including an internal support, sometimes called an “internal bra”. This reinforces the breast and helps maintain its shape and position over time.

A lift alone gives a very natural result. For added fullness, it can be combined with fat transfer, or a small implant for more upper-pole volume. Where an implant is the focus, this is covered on our breast lift with implants page.

Every procedure is performed in its entirety by Dr. Husain, in a fully accredited operating room with a board certified anaesthesiologist.

A well-supported recovery

Most patients return to desk work within one to two weeks, and to light daily activity sooner. Lower body exercise resumes from around four weeks, and full activity, including upper body exercise, from six to eight weeks.

A surgical bra is worn continuously for the first month to support the breast as it heals, and no drains are needed. You will be seen by Dr. Husain during your hospital stay and at every follow-up, with detailed recovery guidance provided in person.

Breast scars are known to heal exceptionally well, and Dr. Husain provides a dedicated scar care protocol to refine them further if needed.

Natural, youthful, and long-lasting

A breast lift restores a higher, fuller, more youthful breast shape, using your own tissue, so the result looks and feels natural.

Results are long-lasting, typically many years, and often ten to fifteen or longer, particularly with the internal support techniques Dr. Husain uses to maintain shape over time. Aging, gravity, pregnancy, and weight changes continue naturally, so maintaining a stable weight and good support helps preserve the result.
