The Surgeon
Dr. Husain AlQattan is a Kuwaiti plastic and reconstructive surgeon whose training spans four internationally recognised institutions, across nearly two decades of medical education, research, and surgical experience. Board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, he returned to Kuwait following a distinguished fellowship at the University of Texas, San Antonio.
What defines his practice is a commitment to combining the most advanced, evidence-based surgical techniques with an uncompromising standard of care to enhance safety, shorten recovery, and deliver results that are natural, precise, and built to last. That same commitment extends beyond the operating room: he lectures medical students at Kuwait University and is actively involved in training Kuwait's next generation of plastic surgeons, contributing at every stage of their education.
What draws him to this specialty is not only its technical breadth, but its human depth. He works across the full spectrum of plastic surgery, from aesthetic procedures to cancer reconstruction, and in both he remains guided by the same principle: respect for the trust each patient places in him.
Outside the operating room, he values a life grounded in family, reflection, and time outdoors. He enjoys travelling, hiking, and reading broadly.
The Approach
Dr. AlQattan's philosophy rests on three principles that guide every procedure he performs: safety, natural results, and outcomes that are long-lasting. They shape the way he consults, the techniques he selects, and the recommendations he makes.
He takes a balanced, unhurried approach to every consultation, spending time to understand each patient's goals in full. Every surgery he performs is carried out with meticulous attention to detail and an uncompromising standard of care, regardless of complexity.
No two patients are the same, and that is never lost on him. His recommendations are always tailored to the individual: their anatomy, their goals, and their circumstances.
“The best aesthetic surgery is elegant and quiet, you look like yourself, only more rested, refreshed, and at ease. True beauty is balanced and timeless.”
— Husain AlQattan, M.D.
American Board of Plastic Surgery
One of the most rigorous surgical certifications in the world
The Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery is among the most rigorous and internationally respected certifications in surgical medicine. It is earned by surgeons who have completed accredited residency and fellowship training, demonstrated sustained excellence across comprehensive written and oral examinations, and met the highest standards of clinical practice. The certification requires ongoing renewal, ensuring that every holder remains at the forefront of advances in the specialty. Dr. AlQattan holds this credential, making him one of a small number of plastic surgeons in the region to have earned it.
